By changing the filename, it will force the game to use the correct PhysX driver located in your Windows\System32 or Windows\Syswow64 folder.

After a lot of digging, it turns out that one of the DLLs in the Arkham Knight downloads that are delivered via steam are matched to a different driver version that was updated with some of the newer nvidia drivers and PhysX packages. Everybody has two choices, get a refund or get used to this crappy pc game. "The only way to run this game at 60 fps is owning a GPU with 4GB RAM or more" - maybe you missed the fact that foofigher_ii is using a GTX 970?Įxactly! This game is really bad written, and a lot of promises were broken (from the publisher, the developer and even Nvidia, who promised a lot of graphic quality with his Nvidia Gameworks), and at the end you have a broken game that will never have a patch.

"Everybody should lower their expectations with this game on PC" - NO, the damn devs should fix the crappy game they dumped on the market at full price, twice they've had nearly 6 months and it still isn't fixed! If you own a gaming laptop the game will never run at 60 fps, not even with GPUs with more than 4GB. The only way to run this game at 60 fps is owning a GPU with 4GB RAM or more. If you have that in mind, the game runs flawless at 30 fps. The performance is really poor, so everybody should drop their resolution to 900 x 600 or 1920 x 1080, if your GPU allows it. Originally posted by foofighter_ii:Everybody should lower their expectations with this game on PC. Remember that the GTX 970 was marketed as THE card to run this game well on. I'm just overly tired of comments suggesting people live with or adapt to the ♥♥♥♥ that is this sorry excuse for a PC game from a "AAA" studio. Like most people, I know you probably know all-too-well how screwed up this title is. "If you own a gaming laptop the game will never run at 60 fps, not even with GPUs with more than 4GB." - the unfortunate reality is that "gaming laptops" are wastes of money nearly 100% of the time.

In which case, the recommendation should be to upgrade as soon as possible.

"everybody should drop their resolution to 900 x 600 or 1920 x 1080, if your GPU allows it" - there should NEVER be a need for anyone to run a relatively-new game below 1920x1080, unless of course they happen to be running pitifully-poor hardware. yes i play in 4k, but please optimize if you can Everybody should lower their expectations with this game on PC. but the performance issues on my gtx970 with i7 and 16 gb ram are huge. Originally posted by *$cott*:i have no bugs or crashes and the game is the best batman game ever. It runs great now, but ran like total crap when it came out. Ya I remember Arkham City having a ton of DX11 problems. I pre-ordered it and there were so many performance issues, I was like 'hmm never again'. Personally, I decided to stop pre-ordering games a long time ago, in fact I think it was when Arkham City came out. It is the pre-ordering that has allowed developers to let the bar slip on the release quality of games. No more pre-orders and when games are released I will be going to the steam message boards to ask folks who bought the game if SLI is functional and if it's not, then I don't buy the game. Had no idea the developers would fail the way they did and treat their customers the way they did, so for me - lesson learned. I pre-ordered this game and the season pass because I was so pumped for it. People need to be more disciplined (myself included) with regard to buying these games. IMHO, they actually didn't want to spend their time and effort(.which means money) to do so, SLI support or whatever they could do to improve game-performaces!!That is really sad.guys please DO NOT buy games on the day-one and do not even pre-order them if you want thiings to change!!
